Safety First
Swimming instruction requires proper supervision and safety protocols. This resource supports but never replaces qualified instruction. Always practice with a certified instructor, lifeguard, or competent swimming partner present. Never practice swimming skills alone.
Supporting Your Swimming Journey
Beginner Pool provides structured practice activities with clear steps that students can work on between lessons. This stage builds essential water confidence and basic swimming ability using elementary strokes. Completing the Beginner Pool means you're genuinely swimming and ready for lap lane experience.
Lane 1 offers comprehensive stroke development across all four major strokes - freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. These guides support instructor-led development of competent technique for confident lap lane swimming in community pools.
This approach recognizes that achieving lap lane readiness is a significant accomplishment that opens the door to lifelong swimming participation and community pool access.
